My heart progresses through life slowly

Like a sea turtle making its way across the sandy beach

Into the blue, sparkling vast that we call ocean

A young hatchling 

Who is fresh into the world 

Must travel into the sea to pursue life

It struggles on its journey

As it approaches dangerous waves of water, knocking it back

And though this happens continuously

It knows that it must reach his goal

No matter the challenge

No matter the difficulty

As it attains victory against the ocean waves

And enters the clear, salty water to swim about

Soon I hope to swim into the ocean of peace
